Birmingham Book Event
Join me for a special afternoon of conversation to celebrate the publication of my debut book, (Dis)entangled. Why Black Hair Can’t Be Just Hair.
I’ll be in dialogue with the award-winning play writer, producer and poet Siana Bangura, whose play Swim, Aunty, Swim won the 2024 UK Theatre Award for Best New Play. Together, we will explore Black hair, beauty, and identity from a British, German and global perspective. We will also be talking about storytelling, power, and books that challenge the status quo. If you care about Black communities, culture, and conversations that stay with you, we would love to see you there.
